Affected
Veeam Backup & Replication v12 through 12.3.2.4854
Fixed
12.3.2 P4 • build 12.3.2.4934
Why it matters

Backups are a recovery lifeline—and their management server is a high-value control point. CSA says an attacker who already holds the Backup Viewer role could reach remote code execution as SYSTEM through the Mount Service.

Take action

Inventory every Veeam Backup & Replication v12 server. Upgrade affected builds to 12.3.2 P4 (12.3.2.4934) or the latest supported release. Version 13 is not affected by this issue.

Four checks for today

  1. Confirm the installed build on every backup server; include isolated and standby environments.
  2. Patch affected v12 systems, then verify the build number and successful backup jobs.
  3. Review who has Backup Viewer access and limit access to the backup management network.
  4. Confirm an offline or immutable recovery copy and test that a restore works.

Source check: Singapore CSA published its alert on 9 October 2026. Veeam’s security notice lists affected builds and the fixed release.
